Laura E. Happe, Pharm.D., M.P.H., has been appointed as a clinical associate professor and director of the Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy Online M.S. Program in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. In the new role, she will oversee academic and fiscal aspects of the online program and devote a portion of her time to educational, research and service missions in the department.
Happe is an editor, professor and author who specializes in using data to aid in decision-making. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Managed Care and Specialty Pharmacy, the official peer-reviewed journal of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, with a circulation of over 30,000 people. Previously, Happe was the chief pharmacy officer of Humana, where she was responsible for advancing the clinical pharmacy acumen and integrating pharmacy into the company’s integrated care delivery model. During her time at Humana, she also enhanced the company’s research program, contributing to more than 70 peer-reviewed published manuscripts.
