PHA 6799 Medication Safety and Quality Program Evaluation

Description

This course will explore the methodologies through which patient safety and quality improvement studies are designed and executed. Program evaluation includes identifying quality or safety deficits, examining the root causes for these deficits, examining interventions that could address the root causes for the deficits, engaging stakeholders to determine what they value, establishing the appropriate methods to implement and assess the fidelity of the intervention, selecting a feasible study design, determining what data to collect, collecting and analyzing the data, drawing the appropriate conclusions, and then communicating the results to stakeholders .
