The Managed Care Pharmacy Systems track is a comprehensive graduate program that combines the study of managed health care delivery models with the delivery of evidence-based, cost-effective pharmaceutical interventions. This unique dual-focused program will teach students about the many facets of health insurance benefit design and take a deep dive into newer innovations like risk-sharing, value-based care, controlling health care costs and quality assessment.

Meet the track director

Dr. Laura Happe

The Managed Care Pharmacy Systems specialty track is led by Laura Happe, Pharm.D., MPH, who's career has spanned across the health insurance, pharmacy benefit manager, mail order pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry, consulting and university settings. As an expert in managed care pharmacy research, Dr. Happe is current the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Managed Care and Speciality Pharmacy, which has an audience of over 30,000 people worldwide, and she has authored over 35 articles in the managed care area.
