The Pharmaceutical Regulation specialty track is led by W. Thomas (Tommy) Smith, Pharm.D, J.D. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the American Society for Pharmacy Law, and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), Smith has served as an author, speaker and leader in areas such as pharmacy law, cultural competency, health disparities, bioethics and disability law. In 2013-2014, Dr. Smith completed AACP’s Academic Leadership Fellows Program. He currently is serving a three-year term on the ABA Health Law Section’ leadership council and is the immediate-past chair of AACP’s Health Disparities and Cultural Competence special interest group.
