Success Story: Beth Majeroni

“I feel really lucky to have found out about the program, to have participated in the program and it’s already reaped benefits for me.” – Beth Majeroni, 2013 Program Graduate

Beth Majeroni

Beth Majeroni graduated from UF’s online Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy program in 2013. Since graduating she has taken on the role of Vice President of National Accounts in the Managed Sales department at Walgreens. During a podcast interview with Robert Navarro, Pharm.D., she shares with listeners a personal recount of what being an Online POP student is really like.

The program is designed with the working student in mind, allowing for flexible learning. Classes take place during the weekend and at night to allow online students to fit classes and coursework into their daily schedules – making this program ideal for the working student.

The courses taught by professors are live synchronous classrooms that allow students to interact and connect with one another. Students are able to network and interact with other students as if they were in person – while in the comfort of their own home, or on the go.

“I really liked the live classes. It was a great opportunity to discuss health care issues. The professors structured the classes so that the individuals in the classes would have a topic to contribute to, and I think I learned as much from my classmates as I learned from the professors,” stated Majeroni. “I think it [the program] offers two things. It offers a high-level quality of professors … and then I think the live setting, the live online setting, adds to the learning because you do get to interact with the classmates.”

Online POP is more than just an online class. It is a community of peers, faculty and students alike; learning from one another and making lasting connections.
